 Do you currently receive Child Tax Credits and haven’t applied for free school meals?

In the coming days we will be sending application forms for Free School Meals (FSM) to all parents whose child is not currently eligible for FSM. 

Even if you are currently not eligible to FSM due to your financial circumstances or your child is eligible for universal infant free school meals (Reception to Year 2 that have free school meals regardless), we strongly recommend that you fill in the application form now.  As things currently stand, if you complete/return the form and your circumstances were to change, then the system will recognise this, and your child will become entitled to FSM for the remainder of their time at primary school. 

For example, if in months/years’ time you lose your employment, are unemployed for a period [even if just for a month or two], before being employed again, your child will become eligible for FSM and remain eligible throughout primary school even though you would have gone back into employment.  School will also receive further funding.

Please return the completed forms to school by Thursday 21st December.
